OUR EQUIPMENT...

New Frontier Records has two studios.  Studio A is the largest studio, a lovely “live” sounding room approximately 8m x 16m with cantilevered ceiling and timber floor, perfect for recording larger projects involving groups, orchestras etc.  Acoustic instruments such as pianos, strings and vocals record particularly well in this space. Studio A is ideal for any situation, from soloist and group recordings through to multi-tracked studio albums and live “one-off” classical performances.

The studio has two great pianos - a Yamaha C7 Concert Grand and a Yamaha U1 Upright, both available for session work.  The studio also has available a Yamaha drum kit, a comprehensive range of percussion instruments including Natal congas and bongos, and guitars, amps, and keyboards.

New Frontier Records can handle any project from start to finished product.  From conception through performance to post production mastering and duplication.  This can include graphic design for artwork, film processing and printing of paper parts, and product assembly and delivery of completed units.

Digital multi-tracking to Fostex D160 sixteen track. Analogue sixteen track also available. A comprehensive range of microphones from AKG, Beyer, Shure, Audio Technica etc.  Computer editing, compiling and matering on Soundscape software.
